Well, this all seems very important. It would appear that our fairy blogmother has nominated isoglossia.com for a Silk Satin Pajamas award as doled out by that clearinghouse of all things European, A Fistful of Euros. We’re dreadfully honored to be in the “Best Expatriate Weblog” category, particularly given the high caliber of the competition. And that last bit also makes it feel slightly less humiliating to see that we’re currently dead last in the running.
What is your role in all this? It is for you to cast your mind back to the first day that you stumbled upon isoglossia.com and ask yourself, “has not isoglossia.com enriched my life with pugs and kitties in those intervening days? Have I not encountered entertainment in the form of baby poop? My dreams, have they been enriched with fiberglass harlequins and nougat pillows? If the answers, the answers as you know them truly to be, deep in your heart, are “no, no, and no, not really, um, actually, ewww”, then please go and vote for one of our esteemed colleagues in the category. But if you find that you cannot give a truthfully negative reply to those soul-searching questions, we ask nothing more than a single vote from you. If not for isoglossia.com, then do it for the pugs.

Ha! I almost sent you that Onion article. Pure gold, that one.
You got my vote. Not ’cause I think you’re the best, but because you’re the only one on the list that I’ve heard of. Ain’t Democracy great?

I would do exactly as you say, Oh Leader, but it only lets me vote once.
Looking over the rest of the poll, I have to comment that myboyfriendisatwat.com might be the best blog domain name ever. Sorry, ISO9000glossia.

I hope you realise victory entails posting a satin pyjama clad you photo on the blog? You have my vote.

OK, you big dirty whore, I voted for you. Le Blagueur–oh, please. I did it under the assumption that you’d buy me a beer, you know, if we’re ever on the same continent. Otherwise, I’m totally voting for Loxias.

I enjoy your blog, and will vote for you, Chicago-style (early and often). Right now, however, I have to go back and read more about life in Belgium with Quarsan the twat.
