Grandpa’s New Year’s Day fireworks extravaganza, like so many holiday traditions (eg Rudolph), leaves boys deeply traumatized. (I loved it.)

  1. OMG, you’re back! The whole time we have been unable to get online, you have been posting every damn day! Or, maybe you are confused and you think you’re on twitter. Letter to follow, along with probing questions per the cryptic message left on A’s myspace? facebook? (I am too old) page.

  2. Oh. Now I get it. You’re on vacation!

  3. I use Twitter even when I don’t have any time for writing on this site — the Twitter client I have for the iPhone is excellent, so much of what appears there comes from the phone when I am bored and/or bitter. Twitter plugs in to The Book of the Face, so whatever I ‘tweet’ also appears as a FB ’status update’, too.

Because there has been no posting at all for so long, I installed a plug-in that pulls in Twitter so people like you, who use neither Twitter nor Facebook (uh, right?), at least get a tiny sign of life. (For those who use both Twitter and Facebook AND check this blog, I expect that this plug-in is a huge annoyance.)

  4. I have to (sheepishly) admit that it took me, like, ALL of your Twitter-fed posts to figure out that that’s what was happening. In the Twitter realm, I am so totally 100% the 75-year-old who has precisely no idea what’s going on. Just when I’ve figured out these interwebs….
