Ah, I remember the wine taps. And if you have a water distiller, run the wine through twice and you have homemade grappa.

Have fun in London!

If you come visit I promise I will let you finish your book. AND go skiing. Well, perhaps not in summer.

Best of luck with the skiing/babysitting thing. We've had tons of snow this year, thanks in full to my stuck at home mom status.

Thanks for pointing out that broken link, Erik. It was trying to take you to read about 'chicken tikk', a dish which apparently doesn't exist. Fixed now.

I had heard something about battery replacement actually being a trivial affair in the MBA, but with a variety of battery problems being well-documented in both MacBooks and MacBooks Pro, I am still leery of this new battery design. If this thing is aimed at power-travelers it doesn't make sense, as such people generally like to travel with an extra battery. It might be tough to get on a plane with a 0-sized phillips-head screwdriver.

Jane: you totally should.

KP: we'll be on the lookout/smellout for Shan.

Shan the Curry Man should be meeting you at the airpot with a Tikka Masala and perhaps a Korma. You must then try and navigate the Tube whilst eating.

Enjoy your snow day on Saturday!

Nice post. Two things.

1) Broken tikka link. Still made my tummy rumble, though.
2) <a href="http://www.appleinsider.com/articles/08/01/18/sources_macbook_air_battery_replacements_take_only_minutes.html" rel="nofollow">You can actually replace the Air battery</a>.

Love that last photo.
