The cast must include Karen Black
What began in the Flickr group known as IWUS has now crossed an ocean and invaded our home. The BITWRATHPLOOB, discovered by Flickr users Marigoldie and Tina, first made its way to Virginia to alarm and harass Jagosaurus before being forwarded on so generously to the former Yugoslavia. According to a label affixed to the bottom of the, the, thing, this is not its first time on Europe’s shores: it was crafted in Denmark.
While the BITWRATHPLOOB is reasonably benign, it encapsulates so many of the traits of items I do not want in my home. So the BITWRATHPLOOB will be moving on one of these days, maybe soon, probably in an easterly direction. But we will not have heard the last of him…
[Update -- Magda's reaction:]
What is this thing? What IS it?
Um, I don’t really like that thing. I just don’t like it.
Could we, um, put that thing somewhere where I don’t have to look at it?
Why would someone make that? I mean, things should have a purpose and this has none. Someone made this. What is it for? Why would you make it?

I still think that is the most personable pieces of firewood I’ve ever seen. Shame that it will just be soot & ash relatively soon. Right?

Is the objective to get photos of the BITWRATHPLOOB in a world tour? That’s what it sounds like here.
If so, and we did it right, with a proper BITWRATHPLOOB Flickr group, etc., I’d be willing to do a sunny Spain beach photoshoot of him/it/her, accepting the cost of shipping it to the next victim and the years of post-BITWRATHPLOOB psychotherapy.

Erik, you’ve got it pretty much exactly right. His own Flickr group at a minimum. Photos in front of the Taj Mahal, Big Ben, Great Wall of China, Easter Island heads, Wall Drug, etc. Clearly this is going to require a huge amount of imagination, energy, and initiative, the kind of ‘can-do’ American know-how you showed on that IWUS animation project. So if you’re on board, look for the BITWRATHPLOOB to appear in your mail any day now.
Oh, and DarkoV? You should be careful what you wish for…

Ideally, every cast would include Karen Black.

Yeah, yeah. Don’t confuse know-how with don’t-know-how. Sign me up.
At least I’m contributing to the group now.

Yipes!
I’ll have to Christmas tip my mailman earlier this year to make sure he mis-delivers anything in the shakeable box category to the nearest Homeland Security office. Maybe that will keep them busy so the rest of us can start living normal lives.
Besides, Mr. Sgazzetti, Delaware is never on anyone’s travel itinerary, not even Potential Firewood’s.

For God’s sake don’t put it in the closet. It needs to be where you can keep an eye on it! I get all shivery and giggly just thinking about TTOT!

I cannot express my emotions at seeing our little BITWRATHPLOOB spreading its wings and criss-crossing this globe of ours.
