Your attention please! I have an important announcement to make.
Our good friend and colleague Jagosaurus has created a new Flickr group called CHOKING HAZARDS. Thinking it would be wise to have parents of small children on board in an advisory capacity, she made us co-admins of the group. If you are on our list of Flickr contacts, you’ve probably already received an invitation to join this group. If you are not on our contact list, why not?
Jane describes the pool’s focus thus:
Completely irresistible and irresponsible small things – mostly toys – that children (and dogs) would be unable to keep from putting in their mouths.
Look at this as a sort of public service announcement.
Still in its infancy, the pool already boasts double-digit membership and nearly 100 pictures of CHOKING HAZARDS you probably had not contemplated. If you consider yourself a responsible parent, you have a duty to join this group; if you just like close-up pictures of tiny toys, you have an excellent excuse to.

Uh, I love the group (and I often like to think of myself as a responsible parent–say, over my third beer), but I am currently sans digital camera. Will join once I get one.
