  1. Is that a pink moon? Very Nick Drake.

  2. Fantastic! I love it when the sun illuminates the bottom of the clouds like at the top-right.

You’re clearly quite attentive to the beauty above you. Keep an eye out for anticrepuscular rays. Ever since learning what they are a few years ago, I’ve been looking for them, but I haven’t seen any yet.

The rising shadow across from the sunset is also pretty cool. And way more common, too.

  3. Simon: actually, that’s a pink sun. Slightly less Drakeian. By the way, did you see that you’re registering as commenting from the Netherlands now? What’s that about?

Erik: thanks for teaching me a new concept. I’ve always loved the word ‘crepuscular’, and think it belongs on a list of words that sound like something they’re not.

  4. Well, I was in the Netherlands on Monday, but I’m definitely in Belgium again now, as usual. What, indeed, is that about?

  5. Actually, if you mouse over the flag, it says “Luxembourg”.
    I feel dizzy.
