Clearing the desk

The Friday before Christmas and all I’ve got on my work schedule is a drink at 13.15 — see invitation directly above the word ‘Friday’. I’ve been seeing this “what’s on your desk?” meme creeping about and today seems like a good opportunity to preëmpt it just in case. So here’s my desk. If you are really looking hard for something to do, you are invited to click on the image to go read the copious Flickr notes, or even peer at the gripping details of the massive version.

  2. You’d feel differently if the camera could capture all the exfoliated skin flakes that somehow get trapped under that glass, congregating around the Serbian navy patch. How do they get IN there? And WHOSE ARE THEY? And WHY THE SERBIAN NAVY?

  3. Wow.
I can emphatize with kilowatthour. I’m not sure if the glass layering is what does it, but you seem to be simulatneously cluttered and clean. Everything seems to have its place and those places seem to be exercising “personal space” rules with adjoining spaces quite well.
    Bravo.
And, as you’d mentioned on your comment, a glimpse deep into the soul. How quaint that our workspaces are so revealling and so guarded by us. I’m sure there’s a coffee table book coming oout NEXt Christmas about this topic.

  4. You have some really cool stuff on your desk(what in the heck to you do for a living and how did you get all those patches)? And the order with which it is all displayed is so…so orderly!

If those were my exfoliated skin flakes, they would not go anywhere near the Serbian Navy patch, btw.

  5. Hmmm. The very idea of putting patches behind a protective barrier is a new one to me. I use my NASA patches as coasters. Is that wrong?
