I used this “one syllable at a time” approach with great success the other day to teach Chiara to say “Yamayu Santatsu” (the name of the Japanese restaurant we went to that night).

Perhaps you should look to this for your next language acquisition exercise, aiit?
It isn’t booyakasha but it’s got its own sort of rhythm.
