We want a cartoonish picture of a lightbulb

Long before I moved into the apartment building we now occupy, I remember visiting it. I recall thinking, “now this is a place I would like to live.” Compared to the run-down, seedy, frankly communist-era-feeling fourth-floor walkup I was living in, the place felt classy, modern, and humane.

Bog forbid a lightbulb should burn out and upset the delicate balance.

And everyone knows that if a bulb should burn out in your building, the best recourse to getting a timely repair made is to scrawl on the walls and windows with indelible marker. For best results, make your demands succinct and to the point. Be sure that your requests are direct and easily comprehensible to those who might effect the repair you hope to see made. Avoid leaving your helpful suggestions on perishable media, such as paper. In this way you can directly contribute to the quality of your physical surroundings. Your neighbors will thank you for your constructive input towards getting the burnt-out bulb replaced. Then the building’s management can move on to other improvements, such as removing unsightly graffiti.

Roughly: “NOTICE!
Those who drew up that lovely inventory on the wall and windowpane of the door may also kindly call Ms. —- —- on ——– and their request will be granted. Their request from the wall and windowpane, however, will not be kindly forwarded.”

Magda sees this and says, “Man, bodi frajer enough to sign your name!”

Speaking of being a man, World’s Strongest Man Michael Manske posted about another recent fracas in my building.

His best graffiti post ever is a local legend.

My last graffiti post was about Ganja Town.

  1. My comment is written on a wall somewhere. Seemed appropriate.
