So, I was just thinking...if dried red chiles are against the rules in cucumber pickles, would Magda outlaw them in pickled peaches, too? Or are pickled peaches against the rules in general? How about red chiles in okra pickles? Is it just a cucumber thing?

What the...?? This has become an UNACCEPTABLY long absence from posting. And, then, you're, like, totally not home when I try to call? If this keeps up, then I don't think you can be my best friend anymore. Just kidding, of course, but I hope all is well there.

Magda: I’m sure they were very good. It’s just against the rules.

Game.
Set.
Match.

There should be a monthly limit of when your spouse (and I mean a "he" or a "she") is allowed to use the "against the rules" gambit. Once they've reached their quota, no Magic Card is available to them. They have to better argue their position.

I see what you mean. I didn't think of that at the time, but your point is definitely valid.

You know, going from the ultrasound photos directly to the jar of pickles is a bit ...disconcerting.
