Ironic

Just hours ago it came to my attention that singer-songwriter Alanis Morrisette welcomed a South American crowd at one of her concerts with a heartfelt, “Thank you, Brazil!” The problem was that she was in Peru. This sort of oversight is all very well for American presidents to make nowadays, but for a Canadian it’s simply not acceptable. Doesn’t she realize that there’s a great bloody isogloss running between the two places?

We here are shocked. Shame on you, Alanis. Isn’t it ironic? Yeah, I really do think.
